Maya Bazaar Returns this Weekend!

Weekend Rec Swim Starts this Saturday at San Ramon Olympic Pool!
Fin-tastic news! Spring Swim Hours are in effect at the San Ramon Olympic Pool & Aquatic Park (9900 Broadmoor Drive).
Rec Swim is back on Saturdays starting this weekend, May 13, Sundays starting May 28, and on Memorial Day (Monday, May 29), all from 1–4 p.m.
Lap swim and swim lessons are also available throughout the entire week.

Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 18
San Ramon Energizer Station Open 7–10 a.m.
Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 18! More than 40 Energizer Stations in Contra Costa will welcome riders with free canvas totes, snacks, and good vibes as they bike to work – or wherever. Whether you’re an everyday rider or trying a bike commute for the first time, everyone is welcome.

Biking in San Ramon on May 18? Stop by San Ramon’s Energizer Station from 7– 10 a.m. at Iron Horse Trail at Bollinger Canyon Road (south side)!
Need help getting ready? Check out 511 Contra Costa’s Bike to Work Day prep tips and the 511CC Bike Mapper. The Bike Mapper lets you plan a route based on elevation and your preference between the most direct or more bike friendly routes. Iron Horse Trail Bollinger Canyon Road Overcrossing

Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m.
Iron Horse Trail at Bollinger Canyon Road
The City of San Ramon, in partnership with Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA), Contra Costa County (CCC), and East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) will break ground on the Iron Horse Trail Bollinger Canyon Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing on Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m. on the Iron Horse Trail at Bollinger Canyon Road (north side). Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The purpose of the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossings Project is:
- To improve safety by eliminating conflicts between pedestrians/bicycles and vehicles;
- Improve vehicular traffic flow by removing the at-grade crossings;
- Eliminate unsafe crossing maneuvers by pedestrians and bicyclists;
- Enhance safety by providing an environment that encourages pedestrian and bicycle usage along the Iron Horse Trail; and
- Increase trail use by nearby schools by improving safety at the Bollinger Canyon Road and Crow Canyon Road crossings.
Construction on the Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road is expected to take 18–24 months.

The Art & Wind Festival returns Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29 at San Ramon’s Central Park (12501 Alcosta Blvd), from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Admission is free!
This annual event features fine arts, crafts, specialty food vendors, three entertainment stages headlining international music, party bands and variety entertainers, children’s shows, gourmet food courts, family amusement zones, professional choreographed kite flying demonstrations, free kite making workshops, and more!

Please join us for the San Ramon Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 29 at 9 a.m. at San Ramon’s Memorial Park (5001 Bollinger Canyon Road). The San Ramon Memorial Day Program will bring special recognition and honor to those who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice.
A Commemorative Field of Flags will be located at San Ramon Memorial Park on the lawn during the Memorial Day Program. Complete a flag request to have a temporary flag placed in honor of a fallen service member or deceased Veteran.
