A German model agency, MGM Models, has launched its own luxury skin care line.
MGM currently represents Maryel Uchidad, and was the home of Kate Upton and Chrissy Teigen when they started their modelling careers. HQed in Hamburg, it currently has 1,500 models on its books.
MGM Cosmetics was developed by a German laboratory over years of research.
The range was used for the first time at Paris Fashion Week.
MGM Models’ CEO Marco Sinervo said, ‘The issue of skin health has been with me my entire career as a model agent, as models cannot have bad skin. I have always been on the lookout for a good skin care product, and I have now had one developed myself. The high professional standards we set for a healthy and beautiful skin have now been met in this particularly effective and beneficial skin care series.’
MGM Cosmetics’ medical expert Dr Anna Brandenburg added, ‘MGM Cosmetics is an extremely effective and substantiated skin care concept with highly effective ingredients and the purest quality. The skin’s varying needs can be taken care of in an optimal way by the different series, which lead to maximum effect for the user. The product range is set out clearly and is simple to use. It contains everything needed for healthy skin care. The Sun Protection Factor issue has also been solved effectively by the UV protection.’
The products, available online only at this point, are priced between €38 and €180. There are 12 products, divided into age groups. Everyday is aimed at 16–25, Advanced for 25–40, and Supreme for 35–60.
The Modelmask is a mask developed for models for use 15 minutes before a show or a shoot.
Retail outlets and a St Tropez launch are planned for the autumn.
