It’s been a whole year since Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson made their Met Gala debut as a couple. Now they have made their Met Gala debut as exes who remain cordial and occasionally bump into one another at parties. Such is the circle of life.
At the 2023 Met Gala, Kardashian and Davidson (plus Usher) were photographed catching up during the event, nine months after their break-up. Davidson’s big smile in the pics already has some on the internet detecting a renewal of sparks. (Though the actor has recently been linked to his Bodies Bodies Bodies costar Chase Sui Wonders.)
“Pete davidson x kim kardashian exes to lover met gala edition,” one person tweeted. “Kim was in love with Pete and you can’t convince me otherwise,” wrote another. Even the official Perez Hilton Twitter account weighed in, writing, “The way Pete Davidson is looking at Kim Kardashian! He still wants her!!!”
Reactions to the reunion were similar on TikTok. “Look at the way that he’s looking at Kim. I can’t tell if that’s ‘I’m still in love with you’ or he’s remembering the things that those two used to do together,” opined one creator.
This is the first time Kardashian and Davidson have been photographed together since their split in August of 2022, and we can at least agree that it doesn’t look as if it was an especially awkward conversation. The ex-couple was the talk of the town at the previous year’s Met Gala, which they attended together. Kardashian famously wore an iconic dress worn by Marilyn Monroe, while Davidson kept it low-key in a basic suit.
So what were Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian (plus Usher) discussing here? We may never know.
