In a caption paired with a photo of a rainbow against a cloudy sky, Marrs reminisced about how time goes by so quickly—a thought sparked by recent high school graduation announcements and specifically her niece moving away to college this summer. Amid her contemplation, she ended up crawling into bed with one of her kids who was coughing, tossing, and turning. As he started to relax, she wrote, “a verse came to mind: ‘Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart…’ (Luke 2:19).”
With those “eight powerful words to describe motherhood,” Marrs wrote that “momma hearts are the keepers of treasured moments.” She went on to name them as “the miraculously fresh newborn moments, the groggy middle of the night moments, the joyful adventuring together moments, the cheering for at the sideline moments, and the beautifully hard letting go and releasing them off into the world moments.”
Marrs ended her post with a sweet sentiment: “May I never take a single of these beautiful, miraculous, mundane, passing-by-in-a-blink moments for granted.♥”
The HGTV star’s fans swiftly took to the comments to share how the post made them feel. One person wrote, “Thanks for this teary-eyed reminder. I couldn’t have summed it up better. Overcome by emotion.”
