Anyone in need of a fresh home makeover show to obsess over is in luck: Happy to Be Home With the Benkos may become your next go-to. The new Magnolia Network series premiered in April, and viewers are already hooked. Starring husband-and-wife duo Gray and Mike Benko, the show follows the couple as they transform historic homes. Here’s everything we know about the show.
Who Are Gray And Mike Benko?
Gray Benko is a photographer turned interior designer who “has a keen eye for composition and a knack for transforming historic spaces using unexpected colors and patterns,” according to a press release. Her husband, Mike Benko, is an “artisan, woodworker, painter, power washer, and occasional guitar player” as well as a “tireless renaissance man.” He loves the history of old homes and helps put a distinctive spin on every project he and Gray tackle. The South Carolina–based couple has two children: a daughter, Farris, and a son, Charlie.
What Is The Show About?
Happy to Be Home With the Benkos centers on historic home makeovers in South Carolina’s low country. It follows Gray and Mike—along with Gray’s father “Grumpy,” who’s a contractor—as they infuse homes with colorful and whimsical upgrades for an ever-so-happy atmosphere.

When the show was announced at the end of January, Gray posted about the news on Instagram. “This has been the most fun, challenging, and rewarding 8 months and I cannot wait to share our show with you in the Spring,” she wrote in a caption.

Where Can You Watch the Show?
New episodes of Happy to Be Home With the Benkos air on Magnolia Network at 8 p.m. every Sunday. Four of the first season’s episodes have already aired. If you need to catch up, they’re all available to stream on discovery+ and HBO Max (and all forthcoming episodes will be available to stream on those platforms as well!).
