Jessica Alba rose to stardom for her role in the 2003 film Honey. Later on, she joined the superhero genre and starred as Sue Storm in 2005’s Fantastic Four. The actress went on to appear on several more projects and established herself as an A-list celebrity, only to step back from acting to focus on being a mother and an entrepreneur.
Alba entered the movie industry at age 13, appearing in a minor role in the 1994 film Camp Nowhere. From there, she built her portfolio and earned several accolades, such as the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress.

Jessica Alba Became One Of The Richest Female Celebrities In Hollywood
In 2008, Jessica Alba notably quit acting after she gave birth to her child. In the same year, she started her own business, The Honest Company, which specializes in sustainable and eco-friendly items for babies, mothers, and household products. Alba’s brainchild was conceived after she had an allergic reaction to a detergent while washing her baby’s clothes. She tried to find a good alternative, but the effort seemed futile, so she made her own brand.
The road to building her empire was not smooth at all. Alba struggled to find a team that would help her launch the project. In the end, she joined forces with Sean Kane, founder of PriceGrabber.com, Christopher Gavigan, CEO and executive director of Healthy Child Healthy World, and Brian Lee, the expert behind Legalzoom.com.
The Honest Company took off in 2012, a business that promotes a safe space for children and adults. The sales went up to $10 million despite it only having 17 types of products in its catalog. Now, it has over 120 merchandises.
The success of the company gave Alba the confidence to bring it to the international arena. The team marketed their brand in South Korea, Canada, and China, with the first one giving incredible support.
Forbes revealed in 2015 that Alba owns 20 percent of the company, and her online presence and influence among women has become the major contributor to its success. Now, the Marvel star ranks as one of the wealthiest women in Hollywood as per The Richest.

Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company Promotes Economical And Safe Products
Jessica Alba’s journey to entrepreneurship was born out of a necessity for safer goods. When she could not find a solution to her problem, she invented the answer. She told Forbes:
“I felt like my needs weren’t being met as a modern person. I want beautiful design like everybody else. But it shouldn’t be premium-priced, and it should, of course, be safe. Enough people have to get sick or die from a certain ingredient or chemical before it’s pulled from the marketplace.”
Alba takes great pride in her company. Among her team, she was the only one who made money in an industry unrelated to her profession as an actress. She also added:
“If we really want to make a difference in the world and people’s health, it’s billions and billions of dollars, not just one.”
The sincerity of the company’s mission to help babies and women find safe products for daily use and Alba’s dedication to her business were the key ingredients to the triumph of The Honest Company.
