We’re still a week away from the first official day of fall, but Costco already has its sights on the most wonderful time of the year. A popular Instagram account called CostcoBuys, which tracks the wholesaler’s best deals, recently posted a reel filled with all the Christmas decorations they spotted on a recent visit—and the internet is torn.
On the one hand, Costco’s early-bird Christmas decor is kind of stealing fall’s thunder. “Way too early,” one person commented. “We pay for a membership, give us more useful items,” another grumbled. “No one wants to see [Christmas] stuff in August.”
Well, not exactly no one. Apparently some Costco members are counting down the days until it’s socially acceptable to deck their halls with boughs of holly. And for those early adopters, this early-bird offering serves as an excellent reminder: Winter (and Christmas) is coming. “I could take one of each,” one commenter wrote. Another simply said, “Love it.”

So, what exactly does Costco have to offer on the holiday front? A lot. For starters, CostcoBuys noticed there are a lot of illuminated yard accessories. Whether you’re looking for a lit-up snowman family or some candy cane pathway lights, Costco is here to make sure your holidays are merry and bright.
Or, if you’re planning to ignore Halloween and Thanksgiving and are ready to pick out your Christmas tree, the wholesaler is selling a handful of pre-lit options. A few of CostcoBuys’ followers noted that while spending $480 on a 7.5-foot tree might elicit some sticker shock, it’s a holiday essential you can use for many years to come. With an assortment of wreaths, menorahs, and ceramic holiday villages on its website, Costco is ready for those of you who want to shop before the weather outside is frightful.
